In 1916, five Missionary Baptist Churches; Poley Bridge, Palmyra, Seven Creeks, New Life and Magnolia located in Columbus and Brunswick County, North Carolina came together and formed the Dock Association.
Unfortunately, we do not know where the first session of the association was held; only the business meeting and reports was recorded; however, on November 9, 1917, the second session of the Dock Association was held "with the church at - Poley Bridge, NC " followed by "Palmira" in 1918. By the year 1931, there were 17 member churches with the highest peak of 18 member churches by 1976.
Today, the missionary endeavor continues within the 13 churches of our association located in Southeastern Columbus and Western Brunswick County, North Carolina. Together we are on a mission to reach the lost and unchurched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
